The Sustainable Agriculture Network/Rainforest Alliance’s Chain of Custody system has just been revised, and new versions of its Policy and Standard have been approved. Some of the key changes in the Policy include new implementation dates, the possibility of desk and global multi-sites audits under certain conditions, as well as the exclusion of individual farms from the scope of CoC. The Standard was revised to help clarify requirements, particularly around traceability. It also includes new criteria for License Agreements for all trademark use and Outsourcing Agreements with contractors.
